Management Team
Sharon Zohar – CEO, is a successful entrepreneur with more than 20 years of executive management and design experience in semiconductors and electronic industry. He founded Envision Technology and served as the CEO and President until November 2007. Previously, Sharon was the Vice President of intellectual property at eSilicon Corporation. Sharon joined eSilicon through its acquisition of Sycon Design, where he was a co-founder and served as CEO. Sharon was previously in the IBM’s PowerPC group, which developed innovative design technology eventually used in the IBM PowerPC’s. Prior to IBM, Sharon was a member of the original Pentium design team at Intel, where he also held management and design responsibilities for many other processor and communication devices.
Avi Zohar – CTO, has vast technical experience in Electronics, DSP, and Communications. He served as the VP of engineering at Storwize, a provider of a unique real time storage compression solution. For nine years, Avi served in various engineering management positions at Comverse, most recently as Associate Vice President Platform Development responsible for Hardware development, IP Networking, Security, Operating Systems, Data-Base, DSP and Infrastructure components. Previously, he served as a system engineer at the Israel Defense Force. Mr. Zohar holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.
Ronny Gorlicki – Executive VP Business Development, Ronny has been involved in Business Development for over 35 years, of which 26 of those has been in High Tech. He was part of the founding team of the National Semiconductor Fab in Israel and later moved to the headquarters in the Silicon Valley as Director of Business Development for the Microprocessor BU. He then joined the start-up CommTouch and set up their USA organization as VP Marketing & Sales. He was recruited by NetManage to spearhead their Sales & Marketing activities in Europe. He then became one of the founders of WizCom Technologies, the developers of the world renowned Quicktionary, as VP Marketing & Sales. The company went public within 18 months and had a global distribution channel which spanned over 35 countries. He later joined Comsys as EVP Sales and drove their sales and business development to all silicon companies who developed chips for the Cell Phone industry, as well as selling to the Cell Phone OEMs and ODMs. The company was acquired by Intel.
Doron Simon – VP of Sales, has held numerous operational and customers support positions as well as sales management at Tower Semiconductors Ltd., since it’s inception in 1993 until 2001. From April 2001 he served as President of Tower Semiconductor USA, Inc. and Corporate VP Marketing, overseeing the foundries sales, marketing and business development activities world wide until 2006. Prior to this, Mr. Simon was employed by National Semiconductor in various planning and production control management positions. Recently Mr. Simon has been doing business development for early stage technology companies. Mr. Simon holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt Business School, Edinburgh, UK and B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Technion, Israel.
Steve Fields – VP OEM Marketing, brings with him over thirty years of experience in the electronics industry, twenty of it in semiconductors, primarily with National Semiconductor, Inc. He spent much of his last twelve years at National in senior-level business development positions, directly involved in the successful implementation of programs including fibre channel optical interface modules, laptop PC touch pads, DSP noise cancellation and digital cordless phones. In 1995 Mr. Fields joined Pacific Microsonics, Inc., developers of the HDCD digital audio technology for Compact Discs as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Most recently, Mr. Fields has been doing Business Development for early stage companies. He holds a BSEE degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Richard L. Sanquini is the former Chairman of the Board of PortalPlayer, Inc., a public company that was acquired by NVIDIA Corporation in January 2007. Mr. Sanquini retired from National Semiconductor in 1999, after a 20-year tenure, where he managed key business units, including microprocessors and microcontrollers, served as Chief Technology Officer, managed business development and intellectual property protection, and was Chairman of the Board for two China joint ventures. From March 1989 through December 1989, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Information Storage Devices. Prior to National Semiconductor, Mr. Sanquini served in various executive positions at RCA. Mr. Sanquini currently serves on the Board of Directors of ZiLOG, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the following private companies: LitePoint Corp., SiPort, G2 Microsystems, and R2 Semiconductor. Mr. Sanquini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Wisconsin.
Eli Sternheim has more than 25 years of experience in engineering, management, entrepreneurship, business and investment. He received his B.Sc. in EE from the Technion in 1969, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in EE from Carnegie Mellon University in 1971 and 1974, respectively. Dr. Sternheim worked at the Westinghouse R&D center before moving to Silicon Valley. Here he has worked for a few startups, such as Trilogy, Zoran and Nexgen (later went public and was acquired by AMD). In 1991 Dr. Sternheim co-founded interHDL, a software electronic design automation (EDA) company where he was the president and CEO. He wrote the book “Digital Design and Synthesis with Verilog HDL” and served as the chairman of the Architectural Committee for Open Verilog International (OVI). In 1998, interHDL was sold to Avant! corporation. Since 1995 Dr. Sternheim has been investing in high-tech startups and currently holds a portfolio of a few dozen companies.
